Roman Summereder in conversation with the composer Wolfgang Sauseng and the organist Silva Manfrè
Wolfgang Sauseng’s organ works are at the heart of Silva Manfrè’s new CD, released to mark the composer’s 70th birthday (Ambiente Audio). Eight works from four decades, from an organ mass to music for the opera AION, are heard on three instruments spanning more than two centuries: the Dacci organ (1796) in Bassano del Grappa, the Metzler organ (2005) in Freistadt and the Späth organ (2003/04) of Vienna’s Jesuitenkirche. With Marie-Antoinette Stabentheiner (soprano) and the Schola Resupina (conductor: Isabell Köstler). Composer and performer in conversation with Roman Summereder. With listening examples.
